This course is aimed to provide students with the fundamental knowledge in practicing all English skills especially in general and an academic field; listening, speaking, reading and writing. It also provides them some vital cross cultural information in order that they can communicate with less cultural barriers. Furthermore, the students can practice all needed skills through various activities i.e. listening and watching to the videos, giving a talk, doing a discussion, enjoying a role-play, and writing an essay.

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to talk and give some opinions concerning what they watch, listen and read. In addition, students should be able to write an essay regarding the topic assigned especially in an academic field with less grammatical errors.
