This course provides students with practice in reading longer texts than those in 1551103 (Paragraph Reading Strategies in English) with special attention to the significance of discourse markers and how continuous texts fit together. Other aspects regarding figurative language and the development of them in texts, e.g. narration, description, cause and effect, comparison, etc. are also included. A simplified external reading text is required.
