ปัจจุบันสังคมโลกได้เปลี่ยนแปลงไปอย่างรวดเร็ว อันเนื่องมาจากความก้าวหน้าทาง วิทยาการ ระบบสื่อสาร และการคมนาคม จนเกิดกระแสโลกาภิวัตน์ที่เชื่อมโยงส่วนต่าง ๆ ของโลกเข้าเป็นหนึ่งเดียว

ตามพระราชบัญญัติการศึกษาแห่งชาติ พุทธศักราช 2542 หมวดการจัดการเรียนการสอนที่เน้นให้ความสำคัญแก่ผู้เรียน (Leaner-Centered) โดยครูเป็นผู้ให้การสนับสนุน เพื่อให้ผู้เรียนทราบความสนใจ ความต้องการ และปัญหาทางการเรียนของตนเอง ตระหนักถึงความสำคัญที่ฝึกฝนตนเอง และเป็นสิ่งเสริมแรงให้ผู้เรียนเกิดแรงจูงใจในการแสวงหาความรู้ จากแหล่งวิทยาการต่าง ๆ และสนองความต้องการของบุคคลโดยเลือกใช้สื่อและเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ (Information Technology – IT) จากเครือข่ายอินเตอร์เน็ต (Internet Network) เพื่อปลูกฝังให้เกิดการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตตามสังคมแห่งการเรียนรู้

ภาษาอังกฤษจึงนับว่ามีความจำเป็นอย่างยิ่งในโลกปัจจุบัน โดยเข้ามามีบทบาทสำคัญทั้งในแวดวงการศึกษา การวิจัย การทำงาน การประกอบอาชีพ และในชีวิตประจำวัน ดังนั้นการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษที่ให้เกิดผล โดยมุ่งให้ผู้เรียนสามารถใช้ภาษาอังกฤษได้อย่างมีประสิทธิผลและประสิทธิภาพภาพนั้น จึงเป็นเรื่องสำคัญอย่างยิ่ง

ท้ายนี้หวังว่าเว็บไซต์ที่รวบรวมไว้ข้างต้น จะสามารถนำไปใช้ให้เป็นประโยชน์ในการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษได้เป็นอย่างดี และขอฝากข้อคิดประการหนึ่งไว้ว่าไม่มีสื่อใดหรือแม้แต่แนววิธีสอนใดที่ดีที่สุด เพียงแต่ว่าเราจะเลือกสิ่งใดใช้ให้เหมาะสมกับเนื้อหา เหตุการณ์ สภาพผู้เรียน (ในที่นี้ได้แก่ ระดับความสามารถ ความสนใจ และความต้องการ เป็นต้น) รวมทั้งสภาพแวดล้อมในการเรียนการสอนด้วย ดังนั้นจึงขอเสนอแนะวิธีที่เรียกว่า eclectic approach คือวิธีผสมผสาน กล่าวคือการเลือกใช้ในสิ่งที่เหมาะสมที่สุดในแต่ละสถานการณ์ อย่างไรก็ตามในเรื่องสื่อที่ใช้นั้น ผู้เรียนในปัจจุบันมักนึกถึงการใช้สื่อที่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงหรือแปลกใหม่อยู่เสมอ โดยคาดหวังที่จะได้ใช้ ได้เรียน ได้ลอง ได้เห็น ได้สัมผัส หรือได้ฝึกปฏิบัติ โดยเฉพาะสื่อที่เป็นนวัตกรรมใหม่ ๆ ไม่ซ้ำซากจำเจอยู่แต่รูปแบบเดิม ๆ ที่ไม่น่าสนใจ

ดังนั้นสื่อที่คัดเลือกหรือนำมาจากเว็บไซต์ต่าง ๆ เหล่านี้ น่าจะเป็นอีกทางเลือกหนึ่งที่จะช่วยส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ของผู้เรียนเป็นอย่างดี ด้วยความหวังที่ว่าวันหนึ่งจะได้เห็นนักเรียนนักศึกษาอาชีวศึกษาของเรา มีความสนใจในการเรียน และมีความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ ตลอดจนเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศเพิ่มมากขึ้น
